Most little girls grow up dreaming of weddings, of their own and of those of their friends that they hope to be a part of as well. There are those girls, and some boys, that dream of more than just their own weddings in that they have so many creative and wonderful ideas of how amazing weddings can be. These creative types with weddings in their dreams can pursue a career in weddings. From wedding planners to wedding photographers and wedding cake creators to wedding dress designers, the list of ways to spend every day involved in beautiful weddings goes on.
A career in weddings is a magical one to be sure, and also one full of endless details to choreograph, brides to pamper, feelings to soothe, dreams to make come true. Weddings have so much expectation, for every bride dreams of her special one and only day. Being a wedding planner means that weddings are your life because there is the wedding today, the one just finished, the next wedding coming up and the random ideas and thoughts about weddings that strike you at any time. That is the life of a creative wedding planner.
The bride and the groom want to remember their special wedding day forever, but in reality they are often far too nervous and busy to take note of the wonderful things happening around them. Wedding planners know that in the planning of the once in a life time day, it is important to be sure the photographer is there to record everything in perfect image. This enables the bride and groom and all their loved ones to be reminded of the beautiful moments that they may hardly remember in all the hullabaloo.
Those who plan stunning and spectacular weddings know the bride’s happiness is paramount and they spend hours ensuring every single thing is perfect, from the first flower petal to the last drop of champagne. Wedding planners are adept at managing and delegating and triple checking details until the last of the wedding day is done. Weddings are perhaps the most memorable day of a girl’s life, for not only is she marrying the boy of her dreams, but she has dreamed about this fairy tale wedding as long as she can remember. A dream job as a wedding planner lets one see so many magical days come together into beautiful memories.
my big day by luynh pham
The moment my husband asked me to marry him, the first thing that came to my mind was, “YES!” The second was, “What are my colors?” I’ve always been someone who appreciated art and all things pretty, but this was my biggest challenge yet. To plan a day that I’ve been waiting for my entire life was not going to be easy, but I was going to try to enjoy it. After months of planning, the day came for us to get hitched. After trying to get through our vows at church (that moment was all a blur as I was trying to hold back tears stemmed from some deeply hidden emotions) we headed off for our bridal portraits. The day was perfectly time so that we could have Hung Tran get photos of us while we walked around our hotel, The Grand Del Mar, during what I believe is the best time for portraits: The Golden Hour, where the sky turns a warm amber color and makes photos look more glowing and intimate. Success! We got our photos, and headed to In-N-Out for a quick bite to eat before the entering madness that was about to ensue at our reception. For our theme colors, I tried many color combinations but one day, after arranging some flowers, I put together a combo that I knew would be my theme colors. I chose colors that represented our personalities; dark plum purple for our edginess, burgundy for our elegance, & light pink for our sweetness. At the reception, we transformed our venue from a restaurant to an elegant tented room lit with purple uplights against ivory satin wall draperies. Our dark brown Manzanita tree centerpieces were draped with hanging votive candleholders and crystals with burgundy hydrangea placed throughout the branches. I made all of the floral arrangements including my bridal bouquet consisting of ivory peonies, ivory queen roses, and white calla lilles tied with ivory satin. The bridesmaids’ bouquets had lavender roses, dark purple mini calla lilies, and pink dendrobium orchids tied with lavender satin. The venue was washed with hues of all purples and with touches of diamond sparkle throughout the room, including the cake which was a 4 tiered squared cake with diamond cake ribbon accented with light pink and magenta cymbidium orchids. When we were introduced as Mr. & Mrs. Vu & Luynh Pham, we sashayed out to “While We Were Young,” by The Killers, which was edgy enough for my parents to ask, “What were you thinking?” I loved that. That day went by so fast, but felt so long, but the memories I take away will not only be in my mind, but also captured by the photos where I can look back and say wow. All the months of hard work we endured paid off as I am truly captivated by the memories and now have lasting recollections of the happiest day of my life. Thank you.

Planning an upcoming wedding can be a tricky situation, requiring a lot of time, effort and energy. If you are going to be married soon, you should try to keep all of your plans and notes together in an easy-to-find place while you make decisions about caterers, florists, entertainers, photographers and other service providers. Keeping track of so many different pieces of information can be really difficult when you are attempting to plan this upcoming special occasion. As such, one of the best things that you can do is create a planner or organizer where you can store all of this information in an organized manner.
A wedding planner can take many shapes or forms depending on your own individual needs. You may choose to plan using a binder with tabs and inserts for different categories of planning, or a giant pegboard with space for each category of planning that allows you to tack up images and notes as you go. It is important that you choose a medium that is actually going to work well with your planning style in order for you to get the most out of its use. If the planner only makes you feel more lost or disorganized, then it simply is not working for you.
Your wedding planner should have different sections for different purposes. Create a section for the dress, the cake, the caterers, the flowers, the entertainment, the location, the photographer, the bridesmaid dresses and all other facets of the special event. This way, as new ideas or pieces of inspiration come to light, you can tuck them away in the appropriate section, always guaranteeing that you have that information at your fingertips if and when you actually need to actually access it.
Once you have chosen the right type of wedding planner that you need, the best thing that you can do is simply to make sure that you are consistently using it as you plan your special event. Keep track of absolutely everything so that you do not lose any ideas or inspiration along the way. Jot down notes and keep track of images and reminders as you plan for your marriage day and you are sure to find it much simpler over time to plan out this special occasion without letting the feelings of stress or being overwhelmed completely overcome you during this extensive planning process.
Your wedding is a special occasion that you are going to want to remember from the moment it begins until the end of your years. Many of the memories that you create during your nuptials are going to stick with you for a good long time. The best way to make these memories last even longer is to hire a photographer that can provide you with unique wedding photography. Unique photographs, both staged and candid, can really capture the most important moments during your wedding, providing you with long-lasting memories that you make during this very special occasion.
What kind of images do you conjure up when you think about wedding photography? There are basic photographs, like posed images of your family and friends gathering around you and your loved ones, and then there are unique wedding photography opportunities. These are largely opportunities that the wedding photographer comes up with before or during the wedding ceremony and reception, capturing the true essence of your special occasion in their own creative ways. As such, it is vitally important that you choose to work with a wedding photographer that is interesting and creative, and not afraid to come up with some fun photography ideas.
Unique wedding photographer is absolutely going to make the difference when it comes to creating high quality photo books to display your wedding photographs. While there are some mandatory photo opportunities that you should include in every photo book, where your photographer goes beyond the basics is going to determine how great the results are. Is your photographer willing to run around and do whatever it takes to snap candid photographs throughout the event? These photographs can be truly unique and interesting in your photo book. What is your wedding photographer willing to do in order to take those perfect shots?
If you are planning your wedding, then you should definitely be thinking about opportunities for unique wedding photography. This type of photography is what is going to stand out in your photography books after the event, so make sure that you choose a wedding photographer that you know is going to be capable of replicating the results that you are specifically looking for. A unique and creative wedding photographer that has experience doing fun weddings is going to be better suited for the job than a photographer specializing in portraiture, landscapes or some other type of photography for example.
